AB 506 Mandated Reporter Training & Live Scan Background Check
AB 506 standards as of January 2022 required Mandated Reporter Training from the State of California
by February 28 and Live Scan background check complete before April 30, 2022.
Wood Badge Spring 2022
Wood Badge is an advanced, national leadership course open only to Scouting volunteers and professionals. The Golden Gate Area Council will be running the course over two weekends, the end of March at Camp Herms and the beginning of April at Rancho Los Mochos.
Rancho Los Mochos Road Renovation Project
Adult leaders from Troop 132 Fremont are organizing a service project to fix the road leading up to the entrance. They are reaching out for help and donations to realize the project before the end of February 2022

Twin Valley District Executive Promoted
Twin Valley District Executive Matt Lindberg has accepted a promotion within our council to be the Program Director. Matt was originally recruited to the Scouting profession while working at Camp Royaneh. He is indebted to the Twin Valley volunteers who helped form and shape his leadership style within Scouting.
