Rancho Los Mochos Road Renovation Project

Rancho Los Mochos Road Sign

Rancho Los Mochos (RLM) has been a favorite camp for many scouts and adult leaders for over half a decade. Various Troops and packs use the facility throughout the year for Camporees, Webelorees, Shooting sports, NYLT, unit-level camping, adult leader position training, and Woodbadge.

The paved road leading up to the camp has deteriorated due to water damages, ground movement, and traffic. This has led to inconvenient entry into the camp, especially when driving low clearance vehicles.

Adult leaders from Troop 132 Fremont are organizing a service project to fix the road leading up to the entrance. They are reaching out for help and donations to realize the project before the end of February 2022.

What: Repair Rancho Los Mochos Road leading to the camp.
More information: https://tinyurl.com/RLMRP
Who: Adult Scouters and volunteers
When: Feb 3rd – Feb 6th
How much: Materials are estimated to cost $6500
How can I help:

  • Sign up to volunteer one of the days. Each day requires at least 15 volunteers. More the volunteers we have, the better we can manage our schedule. (https://forms.gle/7HCVdWedUhQ7vx75A)
  • Any Tax-deductible financial donations to cover material costs. You can make a check payable to “Troop 132” and let us know. We will arrange for the check to be picked up.
  • Provide tools (shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, etc.)
  • We are also looking for an additional Track Skid Steer to help accelerate the project timeline.
