Pandemic-prompted changes to Scouts BSA advancement requirements expire March 1

Over the past year and a half of the pandemic, Scout units have modified their procedures to ensure that Scouts have a safe, meaningful and memorable journey along the Scouting trail. On March 1, 2022, all temporary changes to Scouts BSA advancement requirements will expire, and Scouts will return to the original, unmodified requirements.

Deadlines extended for Eagle Scouts to apply for these NESA scholarships

The deadline for this year’s scholarships has been extended to Feb. 12 to allow the inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts the opportunity to apply. Young women who have earned the Eagle Scout Award from Oct. 1, 2020, to Feb. 8, 2021, will be the inaugural group and have their Eagle Scout credentials dated Feb. 8, 2021

Special Edition of Scout Life Magazine for 2020 Eagles

To honor Scouts that earned the Eagle Scout rank in 2020, Scout Life magazine will publish a special digital edition, and you can purchase a space in it to congratulate a new Eagle Scout or class of Eagle Scouts. Boys’ Life magazine was renamed Scout Life in the January-February 2021 issue.

Restarting your Unit

National Registration Fee Information

BSA just released new schedules for the registration fees. These are now in effect for new registrations, and re-registrations moving forward. Recharter will be be coming up this fall, and now is a good time for you unit to plan budgets appropriately. FAQ
